FAQs

What is a Collective?

Our workspace brings together a “Collective” of independent professionals united by a shared commitment to mental health and personal growth. While each of our Collective members manages their own practice, we work within a collaborative and supportive environment. This allows you to access a range of specialties and approaches while experiencing thoughtful, personalized care.

How can I find your office?

We are located in downtown Huntsville, AL on the corner of Lowe Ave and Madison Ave, behind Huntsville Hospital. Our office is on the second floor, accessible by stairs or elevator. We are one of two businesses on the second floor, so we are easy to find!

You can find parking alongside the building, but there is additional parking adjacent to the lot on Madison Ave. The exterior building doors are open from the hours of 7:30am to 5:30pm Monday-Friday. If you have an appointment after hours, please contact your provider to allow you access to the building.

What can I expect for my first visit?

For your first visit, please plan to arrive a few minutes early in case you need assistance locating our office. Upon entering, you will check in using the iPad system. Simply select your provider’s name and photo, then enter your initials. Your provider will be automatically notified of your arrival.

You are welcome to make yourself comfortable in any of the available seating areas. Coffee, water, and light snacks are available in the main waiting area, located down the front hallway to the left.

We kindly ask that you remain mindful of noise levels, as counseling sessions may be in progress. Please do not knock on office doors - your provider will come to greet you shortly.

Do your members accept insurance?

All of our counselors accept Blue Cross Blue Shield. Dr. Kane accepts Aetna. All providers offer services at a private pay rate or provide a superbill which you would supply to your insurance provider and request reimbursement. For a specific counselor’s private pay rate, please see our individual member pages.

Can I bring my family/friends to my appointment?

Due to limited seating in the waiting area, we would kindly ask that you do not bring guests to your appointment unless you and your provider have planned otherwise. If you are a parent bringing a child, please only bring the child receiving services to the office. In order to make sure we are providing the most therapeutic environment possible, we appreciate your understanding with this request!

What if I have a mental health emergency?

If you or a loved one are having a mental health emergency, please go to the nearest emergency room or dial 911. You can also contact the national suicide hotline at 988 or text HOME to 741741.

Emails and contact forms for this practice are not monitored after hours or on weekends. Responses to emails and contact forms can be expected within 24-48 hours.
